1. Using a fork, puncture 4 small holes in the bottom of two coffee filters. Set each filter inside two separate small bowls. Add ½ cup red M&M’s into one bowl, and ½ cup green M&M’s into the other.
2. Pour ¾ cup cold heavy cream over the M&M’s into each bowl and steep for about 2 minutes.
3. Grasp each bowl and swirl the mixture until the color of the M&M’s changes the cream to red and green. Then pull the filter up to drain the colored cream from the bottom and set the steeped M&M’s to the side for later.
4. Using a milk cream frother, froth the colored heavy whipping creams until stiff peaks form. Fill a piping bag fitted with a star tip with the colored whipped cream. To ensure the colors don't bleed together, fill one side of the bag with red and the other with green. Doing this will create a red and green swirl effect.
5. Add the steeped M&M’s into a mug and throw away the filter. The M&M’s should look like little brown chocolate chips since the color washed off.
6. Pour the hot milk over the chocolate pieces and, using a spoon, combine the mixture to make hot chocolate!
7. Then add your holiday swirl whipped cream to the top with a sprinkle of Holiday Milk Chocolate M&M’s Minis.
